The OHSU Parkinson Center and Movement Disorders group within the Department of Neurology is seeking candidates for an Assistant or Associate Professor position. Applicants must have a MD and/or PhD degree. Successful applicants will have a track record of research employing neuroimaging techniques to study neurodegenerative movement disorders. Potential experience could include structural or functional MRI, PET, SPECT, PET/CT, PET/MRI, SPECT/CT approaches. Experience with clinical and/or translational studies is a plus, as is evidence of the candidate’s ability to run an independent research program, including a strong record of publication and of obtaining extramural funding.
OHSU is a leader in advanced human imaging and the candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with OHSU’s Advanced Imaging Research Center (AIRC) and/or Center for Radiochemistry Research (CRR). The AIRC contains a variety of MR instrumentation, including Siemens 3 Tesla Prisma, Siemens 3 Tesla Tim Trio, Siemens Magnetom 7 Telsa, Bruker-Biospin 8.5 Tesla, and Bruker 11.75 Tesla devices. The CRR has an on-campus cyclotron capable of generating short-lived radionuclides (including: 11C, 13N, 15O, 18F, 89Zr) and dedicated PET/CT, SPECT/CT and PET/MRI capabilities.
