Provides financial assistance to the Oregon Hearing Research Center faculty and other grant PI faculty in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck surgery- Supports Otolaryngology scientists by reviewing proposed federal, foundation and industry research budgets. Acts closely with the Department Administrator, the OHRC Program Administrator and scientists to monitor and balance grant budgets. Forecasts future years of grant support under various scenarios. Creates and maintains complex computer spreadsheets to track grant budgets and expenditures. Prepares detailed grant reports and calculations for faculty. Acts as effort coordinator. Ensures correct accounting of research staff labor costs and sponsored effort. Helps in the review, analysis and allocation of all Center charges. Participates in yearly budgeting.
