The mission of the Information Technology Group (ITG) is to develop, implement and maintain technology-based services and solutions enabling OHSU to effectively manage information to accomplish its missions.
This functional/technical position is responsible for providing system support for the development, maintenance and enhancement of enterprise academic systems, including, but not limited to, the Ellucian Banner General, Student, Accounts Receivable, Financial Aid, Self-Service Banner, and DegreeWorks Systems. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer services in achieving the following objectives:
This position is not a developer or technical administrator. This role works with technical resources in ITG and functional resources in the university to support the OHSU’s academic community with their technology needs and works to enhance functionality of academic applications. The position requires extensive coordination and interaction with expert users. The incumbent is responsible for developing robust systems and integrations which meet customer needs while working within established standards, policies, and best practices.
Education:
Master’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and four years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and six years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR
Associate degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and seven years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR
Eight years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience where one year of experience will be substituted for an Associate’s degree and two years of experience will be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

This position’s work is largely remote, however some projects will require in-person work. Residence in the greater Portland area is preferred, however fully remote candidates will be considered with the understanding that they would be required to be onsite at times at the employee’s expense. Work hours to coincide with standard business hours (Pacific Time) to be finalized upon hire.
