Department Overview

Provides support to faculty in the teaching mission. May include support in classroom instruction, grading assignments, tutoring, or other instructional support. Must be a graduate student, but work can be performed in any program.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate Program (minimum 4.5 credit hours).
  • Experience in simulation-based education aligned with the Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with simulation methodologies, scenario facilitation, and learner-centered debriefing techniques.

Additional Details

  • The GTA will be responsible for co-facilitating simulation pre-briefings and debriefings for the School of Nursing APRN DNP programs, ensuring alignment with best practices in simulation-based education. This role includes supporting learner engagement, reflective practice, and the integration of clinical reasoning within simulation-based learning experiences.
  • The GTA will need to be familiar with basic simulation equipment and academic technologies such as Sakai and Microsoft 365.
