The position involves working on research projects in the Balance Disorders Laboratory, related to quantitative assessment of cortical activity during gait in people with Parkinson’s disease under various conditions (Off and On medication as well as with cueing). The person will work independently and be instrumental in study design, data collection, and analysis, as well as writing of manuscripts and presentation of results at conferences. The position also requires supervision of research assistants and summer undergraduate/high school students working on these projects, and collaboration with clinical investigators in the Neurology Department.
Experience with data analysis using mobile imaging and wearable sensors.
Ability to prevent a fall in persons with balance disorders.
