Department Overview

The Department of Pediatrics has an OHSU student worker position available in the lab of Angelina Vaseva, PhD.

Function/Duties of Position

Primarily duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain cultured cell lines
  • Perform drug response assays with cultured cell lines
  • Perform Western blotting
  • Isolate RNA/DNA from cultured cell lines or tumor xenografts
  • Assist with mice work

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in or on vacation from an OHSU Graduate Program (minimum 4.5 credit hours)
  • Computer skills- proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with aseptic techniques.
  • Willingness to learn mice handling.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint.

Additional Details

Exposure to human cultured cell lines and human tumor xenografts.
