Department Overview

The Oregon Rural Practice-based Research Network (ORPRN) was established in 2002 at Oregon Health & Science University. ORPRN's mission is to improve health outcomes and equity for all Oregonians through community-engaged dialogue, coaching, education and research.

Function/Duties of Position

Administrative:

Under direct supervision, primarily provides general administrative support for a project, team, or work unit.  Similar to an Office Clerk or Specialist*.  May also include some basic data entry and report generation.  

 

Research:

Under direct supervision, primarily performs basic research or lab activities similar to a Research Assistant 1 or Lab Aide*. 

 

The student worker position will support the ORPRN Education Program, providing data entry for ECHO Institute (iECHO).

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with meeting scheduling
  • Assisting with event planning
  • Notetaking for meetings
  • Assisting with conference submissions
  • Organizing files and assisting new project set up
  • Copy editing on presentations, reports, and other products
  • Assisting project managers and coordinators with their key tasks

Required Qualifications

Education:

Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in:

  • Undergraduate Program
    (minimum 6 credit hours), OR
  • Graduate Program
    (minimum 4.5 credit hours)

Job Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Competencies):

High-level computer knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office, with ability to create spreadsheets, data entry forms, queries and report, and experience with PowerPoint presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data collection
  • 1 year+ data entry experience
