Dr. Hiroko Kiyoshi-Teo's current work focuses on behavior change for fall prevention with older adults using Motivational Interviewing. The research is being carried out under the contract with Oregon Wellness Network (OWN). The research staff will complete the Institutional Review Board training, screen and consent potential study participants using phones or web-based calls, collect and enter participant data in REDCap software (i.e., survey, OWN database), and prepare the data for research analysis and publication. Most of the work can be done remotely. Required to come into the office every 2 weeks. The research staff must be detail oriented, and an effective oral and written communicator with the research team and research participants. This person must be capable to use Excel and web-based video conferencing. An ideal match for this position would be someone who is patient and passionate about supporting older adults to reduce their risks for falling.
Recruit and obtain consent from participants, collect data at 6 & 12 months (mailing out study packets, scheduling, send out paper surveys, set up REDCap survey tools, pull interim reports, reminder email/calls). (web-
based, phone).
Collect data from OWN for OTAGO related data. Collect and enter exercise, falls, and adverse event-related data. (REDCap, Excel).
Assist PI in other research tasks.
