Peer Tutors are responsible for providing academic assistance to undergraduate students in select coursework. Tutoring is not teaching, but rather supplemental learning for students needing additional assistance with course content. Tutors will be primarily engaged in assisting sophomore students with the pathophysiology and pharmacology course content (NRS 230, 231, 232, 233). Tutors may also be required for sophomore/junior courses (NRS 210, 212, 322).
The peer tutoring program at OHSU utilizes both group and one-on-one tutoring to assist students with course topics.
All efforts will be made to ensure that interested tutors are receiving some paid hours each term, however, this may fluctuate due to both the tutor’s schedule and the needs of undergraduate students.
