The function of the Ultrasound sonographer position within the Department of Diagnostic Imaging is to
perform all phases of diagnostic medical sonography. These procedures include but are not necessarily limited
to abdominal, OB/GYN, Breast, neurologic, small parts, Native and Transplant Renal and Liver Doppler and
pediatric ultrasound procedures. The ultrasonographer promotes OHSU’s mission statement by delivering high
quality, cost effective, family-oriented service. This position helps to create a collaborative environment by
integrating education, research and clinical leadership. Sonographers work with infant, pediatric, adult and
geriatric patients. Locations include Marquam Hill, South Waterfront, and Beaverton (Westside).

This position is flex, with no guaranteed schedule nor hours. It is not eligible for benefits. This position works in a busy environment with frequent interruptions, multiple demands and continuous interaction with patients and other medical professionals. It requires being exposed to chemical solutions, and human tissue/fluids.
