The Department of Emergency Medicine at OHSU is home to over 150 faculty and adjunct faculty under the direction of Mary Tanski, M.D., M.B.A., associate professor and Department Chair. Our clinician's staff at OHSU's Level 1 Trauma Center and Doernbecher Pediatric ED as well as our three community Emergency Departments (Hillsboro Medical Center, Adventist Health Portland, and Columbia Memorial Hospital), three ED Observation Units, the Immediate Care Virtual Visits Program, and the Oregon Poison Center. The Department of Emergency Medicine at OHSU has always been highly ranked in NIH Funded Research and is home to the Center for Policy and Research in Emergency Medicine (CPR-EM). Our residency program currently trains 33 residents and offers a diverse training environment through partnerships at several area hospitals. OHSU offers EM specialty training in the form of select fellowships in: Research, Education, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Administration, EMS, Toxicology, and Ultrasound. We are proud to serve OHSU's mission of Healing, Teaching, and Discovery. Under direct supervision, primarily performs basic research or lab activities similar to a Research Assistant 1 or Lab Aide.
This person will assist Dr. Lupton on his K23 grant. This person will work a max of 10 hours per week to help manage the data abstraction/entry on this project. Some examples of their work scope include Chart review, Data abstraction/entry, REDCap.
The Oregon POLST and HERO Kids Registries are a combined secure electronic database and digital health platform that allows health care professionals treating a patient access to their preferred medical treatment orders during a crisis. We strive to increase accessibility to medical orders to support continuity of care across health services platforms. We foster innovation by creating new ways to securely access health information. Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours)
Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Keyboarding proficiency and accuracy with a min of 50WPM.
Strong composing, proofreading and editing skills – specifically the ability to proof read carefully and identify potential discrepancies in data entered.
Excellent grammar, punctuation and spelling skills.
