Department Overview

Under direct supervision, primarily performs basic research or lab activities similar to a Research Assistant 1 or Lab Aide*.

Function/Duties of Position

Fixed tissue sample processing

  • Immunostaining and imaging data collection
  • Imaging data processing and quantification
  • General lab maintenance, cleaning and organization of materials
  • Attendance and presentation at lab meetings, contributions to publications as requested (writing, figures, data), contributions to applications for funding as requested (writing, figures, data)

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Major in Science, Pre-clinical Health Studies

  • One year wet lab experience

  • Computer programming

Additional Details

Part time, ~15-20 hr/week. Flexible work hrs. Able to complete fixed tissue sample processing, staining and imaging data collection and processing. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
