The OHSU Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) is seeking a full-time physician to join our team at Adventist Health Portland (AHP).
The Adventist Health Portland emergency department serves a largely urban population on the east side of Portland, caring for over 50,000 patient visits per year. The department serves many at-risk communities, including diverse nationalities and recent immigrants. AHP receives the highest number of cardiac arrest resuscitations in Multnomah County and has very active stroke and cardiac programs. The ED works closely with the hospitalist service, fostering strong collaboration and patient care coordination.
This is also a learning site with regular medical student rotations, providing ample teaching opportunities. The department has initiated a research agenda and is currently participating in the ICE-CAP study, focused on CNS cooling and recovery from cardiac arrest.
The schedule includes nine 8-hour physician shifts daily and two 10-hour Advanced Practice (NP/PA) shifts daily. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-acuity emergency care, engage in teaching, and participate in meaningful research within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities will include working with the interdisciplinary team in the emergency department to achieve quality of care, patient safety, and service excellence goals. The duties of this position are in support of the missions, goals and objectives of OHSU and the School of Medicine.
