Department Overview

The University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) has a 50-year history at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. The UCEDD at OHSU works to improve the health and quality of life of Oregonians with disabilities through education, community service, research and information sharing. 

Function/Duties of Position

The Community Research Associate / Data Projects Manager supports UCEDD programs and initiatives for people with disabilities. This role leads the coordination and logistics of Oregon’s National Core Indicators (NCI) project, ensuring timely implementation, stakeholder communication, and data reporting. The Community Research Associate / Data Projects Manager manages logistics for training programs, contributes to curriculum development, and helps support the UCEDD’s Summer Internship Program, including recruitment, scheduling, and daily operations. The position also supervises program staff to support effective implementation across projects. Through staff supervision, project management, and data translation, this role strengthens partnerships and informs policy and practice to promote the health and quality of life for people with disabilities and their families.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's in relevant field AND 2 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's in relevant field AND 4 years of relevant experience.
  • 2 years experience in research and community services, or a combination of research and related experience, preferably coordinating research teams on projects emphasizing quality improvement.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
  • Database creation.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with mixed methods research and/or evaluation; experience in disability services in home and community settings; experience with participatory research recruitment and data collection.
  • Previous experience with REDCap, Endnote, and Atlas.ti or other qualitative analysis software. Understanding of human subjects protections.
  • CPHQ, ACRP, or SoCRA certification
