Home Infusion Nurses provide comprehensive care to home infusion patients in an outpatient, community setting, including, but not limited to, the administration of antibiotics, immunotherapies, TPN, biologics, various specialty medications and supportive care therapies. The RN will be required to travel to the patient’s home (or agreed upon setting) and provide infusion therapy. The nurse is responsible to appropriately document patient care activities within OHSU EHR and utilize medical technology to coordinate care, utilizing the primary nurse model and ensuring the patient and family are receiving OHSU’s highest quality of nursing care. This nurse should be available to work Monday through Friday with an ability to flex schedule to meet the regional patient population’s needs. This distance nursing position is intended to provide a specific regional resource for home infusion patients in the Grants Pass and surrounding OR region and reduce the resource demand on non-regional RNs and staff. This RN will be expected to respond timely, usually within 30 minutes, of being notified of regional patient start-of-care or other existing patient care need while on-duty.

The nurse will be assigned to coordinate care and ensure the patient and family are receiving OHSU’s highest quality of nursing care. This nurse should be available to work Monday through Friday and is expected to be part of the On-Call rotation.
