The Program Manager in this role will support the Brenden-Colson Center (the Center) for Pancreatic Care. The main goal of the Center is to build a world-class research program in pancreatic health and disease that will translate new clinical strategies and therapeutic options to successfully care for and cure patients suffering from pancreatic disease. The Center is led by co-directors, Dr. Brett Sheppard (Professor of Surgery) and Dr. Rosalie Sears (Professor of Molecular & Medical Genetics); Deputy Director, Dr. Jonathan Brody (Professor of Surgery); and Assistant Director, Dr. Dove Keith (BCCPC).
This role serves as the administrative program leader and advisor to Center leadership in all financial, human resource, administrative and operational activities in accordance with the policies and regulations of OHSU, the School of Medicine, and outside sponsors. Responsibilities will include: Finance (managing all Center funding, including grants/contracts, Foundation funds and faculty startup funding, implementing transactions and ensuring long term stability), Human Resources (hiring and ongoing management of staff), Grants Management (coordination of proposal submission and oversight of awarded funding, including account setup) and working collaboratively with other OHSU units and departments as well as external institutions to further the mission of the Center.
This position will demand flexibility and adaptability. Provides strategic leadership in financial planning, analysis, reporting and oversight for all organizational, administrative, personnel and financial activities for the Center. This position reports directly to the Center Directors.
