The function of the Radiologic Technologist position within the Department of Diagnostic Imaging is to
perform all phases of technical diagnostic imaging. Radiologic Technologists operate X-Ray equipment used
to capture and develop images for the purpose of medical diagnosis. The Radiologic technologist promotes
OHSU’s mission statement by delivering high quality, cost effective, family-oriented service. This position
helps to create a collaborative environment by integrating education, research and clinical leadership.
Radiologic Technologists work with infant, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.

Job Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Competencies)
Full-time position for a total of 80 hours per pay period; overtime as required. Mandatory On Call duty. This position works in a busy environment with frequent interruptions, multiple demands and continuous interaction with patients and other medical professionals. It requires being exposed to radiation, chemical solutions, and human tissue/fluids. Locations for this position include General X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, Orthopedics Clinic, Pain Clinic, and the Surgery Operating Rooms at Center For Health and Healing at the South Waterfront area.
