Department Overview

The School of Dentistry shares the mission of the Oregon Health & Science University to provide educational programs, basic and clinical research, and high quality care and community programs. Function/Duties of Position

Under direct supervision, primarily provides general administrative support for a project, team, or work unit. Similar to an Office Clerk or Specialist*. May also include some basic data entry and report generation.

 

Maintain, assemble, restock biopsy kits. Assist in mailing out kits to outside referral clients. Filing slides, and mailing materials back to outside pathology labs. Other duties may include communication with dental offices regarding specimens submitted. 

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in an Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours)
  • Experience in customer service
  • Basic knowledge of infection control procedures
  • Duties to be performed will be in RLSB 5N015
  • Hours worked are flexible; e.g. work can get done during normal business hours, weekends, or weeknights

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in OHSU Dental School
  • Prior dental office experience
  • Basic dental knowledge
