Function/Duties of Position

Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, The Research Data Analyst 4 (RDA4) will work as part of a data team on multiple ongoing large data research projects related to Traumatic Brain Injury, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and suicide prevention. The RDA4 will be responsible for data analysis, data management, data visualization, data harmonization, and evidence synthesis to meet project goals. This position will also require protocol development, managing of project timelines, preparation of reports and manuscripts and supervision and training of junior staff.  

 

The RDA4 will have experience with health research, systematic evidence reviews, data analysis methods, project management, and experience producing products and disseminating research to stakeholders. To ensure project aims are met in a timely manner, the position requires attention to detail as well as the ability to work in a collaborative environment, prioritize project tasks, and make independent decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in relevant field AND 2 years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree in relevant field AND 6 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's Degree in relevant field AND 8 years of relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years of research experience.
  • Knowledge of clinical research methods, study design, and basic biostatistics.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage research teams.
  • Excellent communications skills, including verbal, written, interpersonal, and email.
  • Ability to work independently and as a contributing member of multidisciplinary teams. 
  • Able to attend to detail, work with a high degree of accuracy, and perform well under deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Analytic and research coursework.
  • Experience in systematic reviews.
  • Experience managing complex projects with deadlines.
  • Knowledge of systematic review methods.
  • Ability to conduct statistical analyses, including survey data and biomedical research outcome measures (e.g., odds ratios and relative risks, preliminary meta-analyses).
  • Experience with reference management or systematic review software (e.g., EndNote, Covidence), with an aptitude for learning new software and technology applications.
