This position primarily processes and documents transactions on key accounts and acts as a resource to other staff for troubleshooting and resolving difficult account issues. The Patient Accounts Representative 2 (PAR 2) processes billing for Professional and clinic patient charges and is responsible for the collection and resolution of Insurances balances. The PAR 2 specializes in providing excellent customer service to patients, responsible parties, and representatives from 3rd party payers, and other OHSU and FPP employees.
Four years of recent (within the last 5 years) experience billing or collecting healthcare accounts in a business office; OR
Six years of general collection, billing or customer service experience; OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS) is required within six months of hire.
Ability to work from home.
Flexible schedule Monday - Friday during regular business hours between 5:00am - 7:30pm. Employee can choose between five eight-hour shifts, or four nine-hour shifts and one four-hour shift, or four ten-hour shifts.
