The Inventory Optimization Tech is responsible for leading the ongoing optimization and maintenance of the organization's supply station inventory systems (ParEx, KanBan, Pyxis, ParKing, SrubAvail). This role ensures that supply stations are designed, organized, and replenished to support clinical workflows, patient care needs, cost efficiency, and waste reduction efforts. This role serves as a subject matter expert in supply station configuration and utilization, applying data analysis, process improvement, and industry best practices to enhance system performance. Key responsibilities include conducting inventory reviews, designing and implementing optimization initiatives, monitoring system compliance, and collaborating with clinical, supply chain, and other operational teams to drive standardization and continuous improvement across all supply station locations.
Five years of experience with responsibility for program or project monitoring and coordination. The experience must have included program evaluation responsibility.
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or a field directly related to the position will substitute for two years of the required experience.
Note: preference may be given to individuals with experience in a specialty area specific to the position opening.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Working knowledge of hospital materials management distribution systems.
Medical supply familiarity and medical terminology is preferred.
Standard business operational hours (e.g., 7:00am - 4:00pm), but this can vary depending on company policy or operational needs.
Administrative office work and on-site responsibilities. This could include desk work, meetings, and coordination tasks.
