Function/Duties of Position

The Department of Pediatrics is recruiting for a Clinical Research Assistant 2 to support multiple research projects related to child development and pediatric rehabilitation. Duties include scheduling project activities, setting up and managing REDCap databases and ClinCard systems, equipment management, and coordinating community advisory board meetings. The CRA2 will co-moderate focus groups and consensus panels, conduct and transcribe interviews, observe intervention sessions for fidelity, manage data entry, and contribute to qualitative coding and thematic analysis, prepare manuscripts and other academic products, and supervise undergraduate trainees. The candidate will be responsible for coordination and regulatory responsibilities consistent with the CRA2 classification.

 

The CRA2 will exercise judgment within Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and HIPAA guidelines to ensure IRB compliance, accurate documentation of protocol deviations or adverse events, and adherence to ethical research standards. The individual will also support dissemination efforts through preparation of manuscripts, presentations, and community summaries.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in relevant field OR Associate's AND 2 years of relevant experience OR 3 years of relevant experience OR Equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • College-level English reading/speaking/writing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with research project management.
  • Experience in child health, developmental disabilities, medical interpretation, community health, or clinical research.
  • Skills in survey research or basic quantitative and qualitative data analysis
  • Experience with consensus methodologies, knowledge about developmental disability
