Function/Duties of Position

  • Under direct supervision, primarily performs basic research or lab activities similar to a Research Assistant 1 or Lab Aide.
  • Fixed tissue sample processing.
  • Immunostaining and imaging data collection.
  • Imaging data processing and quantification.
  • General lab maintenance, cleaning and organization of materials.
  • Attendance and presentation at lab meetings, contributions to publications as requested (writing, figures, data), contributions to applications for funding as requested (writing, figures, data).

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in or on vacation from, or is otherwise registered in an Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Major in Science, Biomedical Engineering.
  • One year wet lab experience.
  • Knowledge of bioconjugation, protein purification.

Additional Details

Part-time, approx. 15 - 20 hours per week. Flexible work hours. Able to complete protein bioconjugation, purification and data collection and recording. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
