The PICU at OHSU's Doernbecher Children's Hospital is a regional referral center for all critically ill and injured children that operates 24/7. The primary purpose of the PICU is to provide optimal state of the art critical care nursing to any infant, child or adolescent who presents with a serious injury and/or illness. Care is provided for patients from birth to 18 years of age. Older patients are cared for on a case-by-case basis.

The PICU team cares for children across a vast spectrum of health issues including trauma, surgery, respiratory, cardiac, hematology/oncology and neurologic disorders.
Department Specific Working Conditions:
May be required to provide continuing care and monitoring of patients in locations outside of PICU including MRI, CT, Nuclear Med, Ultrasound, and Radiology.
Minimum of 1 year PICU RN experience or 2 years Peds acute care RN experience
