Department Overview

The mission of the Information Technology Group (ITG) is to develop, implement and maintain technology-based services and solutions enabling OHSU to effectively manage information to accomplish its missions.

 

The Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics division of the OHSU Information Technology Group is seeking a student worker to assist with execution of data governance processes in support of key projects and programs. This position primarily provides general administrative support for the Data Governance Program and Data Governance Office (DGO) staff.

Function/Duties of Position

  • Content management administration.
    • Review and approve metadata catalog submissions.
    • Assist DGO staff in the application of content standards.
    • Assist with content review and catalog audits.
  • Program administration.
    • Assist with creating documents and presentations.
    • Update content and formatting in existing documents and presentations.
    • Attend weekly DGO meetings; manage agendas and facilitate follow-up.
    • Administrative tasks related to the enterprise Data Fluency Program.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in an Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours).
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word or equivalent applications.
  • Strong collaboration and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to serve as a positive and professional representative of OHSU in all interactions, including email, telephone, and virtual formats.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an area of study that includes Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Library Science, or Computer Science.
  • Prior experience with content management.
  • Use of collaboration tools such as Webex and Microsoft Teams.

Additional Details

  • Flexible work schedule; approximately 10 to 20 hours per week.
  • Core working hours are between 9am and 3pm Pacific Time.
  • Prefer the candidate to be able to work at least one hour each business day.
  • This position is fully remote.
