Department Overview

The Oregon National Primate Center (ONPRC) is located 12 miles west of the OHSU main campus, and sits on 162 acres of land featuring forested areas, research and administration buildings, indoor and outdoor animal housing, and 2-mile perimeter walking path. Our mission is to improve human health and the quality of life through the support of nonhuman primate research programs that advance our knowledge of the causes, preventions, treatments, and cures of debilitating diseases.

Function/Duties of Position

  • This position will involve data analysis only. No laboratory work.  

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in an Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and oral formats.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior staff.
  • Ability to perform data management and analysis of research findings, including programming and data modeling.
  • Ability to prioritize work demands, and coordinate with other staff.
  • Organizational skills and careful attention to details to satisfactorily perform job duties. 
  • High level of self-motivation and integrity.
  • Creative, thinks out-side-the-box, in developing fit-for-purpose solutions for data needs. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Courses in data analyses.

Additional Details

Work schedule expected to be part time, approximately 12-15 hours per week.
