Department Overview

The School of Dentistry shares the mission of the Oregon Health & Science University to provide educational programs, basic and clinical research, and high quality care and community programs. The dental school prepares graduates in general dentistry and the dental specialties to deliver compassionate and ethical oro-facial health care. 

Function/Duties of Position

Under direct supervision, primarily provides general administrative support for a project, team, or work unit. Similar to an Office Clerk or Specialist*. May also include some basic data entry and report generation.

 

Maintain, restock admissions and pathway supplies as needed. Assist in the hosting of Office of Admissions events by the OHSU School of Dentistry, mostly on the weekdays with some evenings.

 

Duties may include helping with the supplies and planning, and providing customer service inclusive of hosting duties that involve 3rd parties deliveries and services, preparatory work for hosting the events, and related tasks as assigned. 

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in an Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours)
  • Experience in customer service
  • Basic knowledge of infection control procedures
  • Duties to be performed will occasional evenings and will primarily involve OHSU facilities 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior dental office experience
  • Basic dental knowledge
