Department Overview

The full-time annual base salary range for this position is $464,680-$577,283; commensurate with experience and rank. Base pay does not include incentive pay, hiring bonuses, or additional benefits such as retirement contributions.

 

The Knight Cardiovascular Institute (KCVI) is recognized as a top integrated center for cardiovascular clinical care, translational research and professional training in all aspects of heart and vascular disease. Guided by a multi-disciplinary approach, researchers and clinicians drive a vibrant translational research program, which focuses on delivering the latest knowledge and cutting-edge care to patients. Specifically, research at KCVI seeks to improve patient outcomes by achieving earlier diagnosis of disease, more accurate monitoring of its progression, and tailoring therapy to the molecular basis of disease.

Function/Duties of Position

Duties include outpatient clinic, as well as inpatient heart failure and transplant service rotations. Other areas of clinical duties may be available depending on need and interest of applicant. The position would be structured as a 70% clinical commitment at Legacy Health and 30% at OHSU. This role is intended to establish and grow a comprehensive heart failure clinic and inpatient HF service at Legacy while integrating closely with OHSU’s advanced therapies program, including LVAD and cardiac transplantation.

 

OHSU is a teaching institution and as a faculty member, you are expected to provide mentorship and direction to students, residents, fellows and staff. 

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed MD/DO with active Oregon license upon hire
  • Board Certified or board eligible in cardiovascular diseases and heart failure
  • Active DEA Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience practicing in an academic health facility is preferred
  • Candidates of diverse background are highly encouraged to apply
