We're driven by a single mission: to end cancer as we know it. We're a team of hundreds of doctors, nurses, scientists and other professionals who have earned a national reputation for excellence. Every year, we treat about 6,000 patients and conduct about 1,400 research projects, including more than 400 clinical trials. Our research has led to groundbreaking advances in targeted therapy, immunotherapy, surgery and other ways to fight cancer. We're also developing new ways to find cancer early, when it's easier to treat. We're working to free the world from the burden of cancer, one patient at a time.
Under the direction of the Knight Cancer Group Chief Operating Officer (CEO), the Administrative Fellow will participate in high-level projects, management decision-making process, and strategy development. Through these experiences, the fellow will have the opportunity to acquire and refine important managerial competencies, including analytical, communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills. As a result, the fellow will have ongoing interaction with the entire administrative team involving a broad range of operational and strategic issues.
Over the 12-month period, the fellow will lead and support high-impact projects aligned with OHSU Knight Cancer Group’s fiscal year priorities and strategic goals. The fellowship is designed around a portfolio of projects that span key departments across OHSU Knight Cancer Group and OHSU Hospital and Clinics. These projects will be identified in collaboration with executive leadership, including the CEO and other Executive Leaders, to address organizational needs and strategic initiatives. Each project will be guided by administrative sponsors who will provide mentorship and performance feedback focused on core competencies critical to healthcare leadership. This flexible, project-based structure allows the fellow to gain cross-functional experience, contribute meaningfully to institutional objectives, and tailor their learning to their professional development goals.
