Opened in April 2026, the Vista Pavilion marks an exciting expansion of our inpatient cancer care services. To support this growth, we’re hiring Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to join our team and work in this beautiful new facility.
We are actively recruiting three (3) inpatient APPs to join the Center for Hematologic Malignancies (CHM), a key division within Hematology & Medical Oncology.
Position Summary:
OHSU classification: Clinical Associate APP, represented by the Oregon Nurses Association & Advance Practice United, subject to the active collective bargaining agreement.
The Clinical Associate APP delivers care aligned with a defined scope of practice in Inpatient Adult Medical Oncology, with work expectations operationalized through departmental workflows, productivity standards, and performance expectations consistent with the collective bargaining agreement and institutional policies.
This role is structured to meet contract-defined work expectations of 160 annual 12.5-hour shifts, inclusive of daytime coverage, aligned with the clinical coverage model and patient care needs of the service. PTO use reduces annual maximum clinical time.
The Clinical Associate APP will participate in departmental scheduling processes, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays, with scheduling practices aligned to contract provisions, equitable distribution of coverage, and maintenance of safe, consistent clinical operations.
Location:
Vista Pavilion (VPV) – Units 4V, 5V, 6V, 7V
OHSU Marquam Hill – Various units where patients admitted to the Inpatient Medical Oncology service may be located (ED, ICUs, overflow units)
Department-specific responsibilities:
All APPs are expected to support the clinical, education, and research mission of OHSU through routine clinical care that includes working with students, trainees, and patients participating in research, consistent with their role, scope of practice, and applicable contract and institutional policies
All APPs are expected to maintain professional standards in all aspects of role performance, including consistent participation in unit and departmental meetings, routine monitoring and timely response to organizational communications (e.g., email), and adherence to established deadlines for institutional and departmental requirements.
Education & Experience:
Successful completion of a Master’s Degree in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing in a recognized APRN specialty (Nurse Practitioner),

Successful completion of a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant/Associate Studies from an accredited program.
Note: Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) are required to have documented experience in inpatient adult oncology, hematology, cellular therapy/transplantation to be considered
