The Grants/Contracts Coordinator applies for and monitors grant funds for OHSU programs and projects, and/or administers contracts with other governmental agencies or the public to provide services in compliance with applicable regulations and OHSU policy. Work includes Pre-Award and/or Post-Award activities.
This is the first level of a three-level series. It differs from the Senior Grants/Contracts Coordinator in requiring a higher level of direct supervision, less independent decision-making, and a narrower scope of responsibility.
This position is part of the Sponsored Project Administration & Finance Shared Service team (SAT), which supports a combination of OHSU programs, departments, and institutes with comprehensive sponsored project administration and financial management for primary appointed faculty’s grants, contracts, clinical trials, and sponsored project programs.
The Grants/Contracts Coordinator is responsible for all pre-award sponsored project administration, including: reviewing grant, subcontract, and contract proposals and applications; ensuring compliance with multiple funding agency requirements, applicable laws, and University policy; contract and award negotiation; grant receipt and processing; pre-award correspondence and follow-up; and post-award amendments and negotiation.
Note: Some positions may also require experience locating sources of available grant funds and developing programs that qualify for those funds.
