The Ambulatory Access Services (AAS) PAS Coordinator provides operational leadership support to the AAS scheduling staff. The coordinator serves as a senior subject matter expert for referral processing, new patient scheduling, and access workflows.
This role partners with the Manager, Supervisor, Leads, and clinic teams of AAS to support training, quality improvement, operational readiness for workflow or system changes, and consistent communication across specialties. The Coordinator analyzes operational data, identifies workflow gaps, supports staff development through non-disciplinary counseling, and helps stabilize operations during high-volume periods, outages, or process changes. The Coordinator does not provide formal supervision but plays a key role in supporting team performance, improving workflows, and ensuring a consistent patient and provider experience across AAS services.

Hours of work: Monday through Friday, 8:30-5pm.
Work Location: Downtown Portland (Fifth Avenue Building).
Must be able to share office space with other coworkers and able to multi-task in a high-volume environment. Must be able to sit long periods of time, as well as spend 90% of time on telephone and computer usage.
