Function/Duties of Position

  • Basic lab maintenance tasks (dishwashing, autoclaving, preparing solutions).
  • Animal (mouse) colony husbandry, working with a full time Research Assistant, graduate student, and/or postdoc after all training requirements are met.
  • Light administrative work related to lab maintenance and animal husbandry.
  • Experimental tasks related to molecular biology (PCR/cloning), tissue dissection and histology, microscopy.
  • Data analysis of microscopy images.
  • Communication of experimental findings to supervisor and lab team.
  • Keeping an accurate and up to date lab notebook and appropriately archiving and storing all data.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in an Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours).
  • Must have finished high school practical class in chemistry (AP level).

Additional Details

This position is located on the Oregon Health & Science University Marquam Hill campus in Portland, Oregon. The specific hours to be determined between employee and supervisor.
