Function/Duties of Position

The Research Assistant Professor will have expertise in translational neuroscience, with an emphasis on cognition, sleep and circadian biology, neurotrauma, and neurodegenerative disease. This position requires experience developing and applying preclinical models to investigate mechanisms underlying neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders to evaluate potential therapeutic interventions. Research experience integrating behavioral, physiological, and molecular approaches across multidisciplinary research programs is highly desirable. Job duties include: contributing to the design and execution of collaborative and independently directed research, development of extramural research proposals as Principal Investigator (PI) or Co-PI, interpretation and dissemination of scientific findings, and mentorship of research staff and trainees.

 

This position is 0.49 FTE, part-time, and is not eligible for employee benefits.
