Under direct supervision, primarily performs basic research or lab activities similar to a Research Assistant 1 or Lab Aide. Research at the OHSU-SOD will include not only basic bench work in the laboratory but also learning how to design experiments: Independently using instrumentation and performing basic laboratory techniques such as pipetting and buffering solutions with a pH meter Generating and analyzing data from experiments and collected health surveys This will include lab meetings and learning how to keep a lab notebook and daily log of activities.
