This position is responsible for screening and recruitment of study subjects, scheduling and completion of study visits based on protocols, data entry, and monitoring of study compliance relating to the human subjects committee, the federal government, and study sponsors. Other responsibilities include working with nursing staff and physicians to ensure protocol compliance, obtaining research specimens for laboratory analysis, reviewing patient charts for collecting data for prospective and retrospective studies.

Under the guidance of the Associate Director of Agreements review, evaluate, negotiate and complete materials transfer agreements, material license agreements, industry sponsored/collaboration research agreements and non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements. With appropriate training and/or mentorship demonstrate the ability to analyze, interpret, and
comprehend legal agreements of moderate complexity and risk and recognize impact of potential problems and formulate subsequent resolutions with an emphasis on publication restrictions, patents, copyrights, rights in data, indemnification, conflict of interest, etc... Support industry partnerships and relationships through interaction with various strategic partnership and alliance teams across OHSU.

Responsible for the budget development and modeling for the School of Medicine budgets. This includes creating projections, performing variance analysis, and other project-related tasks. The Institute on Development and Disability in the Department of Pediatrics seeks an Occupational Therapist on a flex schedule to support its patient population in Eugene, Oregon. This position will provide Occupational Therapy flex coverage for assessment and treatment services for children with suspect and diagnosed developmental disabilities, neuromuscular and orthopedic impairments, and special health care needs at the Eugene office of the Institute on Development and Disability, Child Development and Rehabilitation Center/Oregon Health and Science University under the immediate supervision of the CDRC Eugene Clinical Director and the IDD Occupational Therapy Discipline Director.
The individual in this position may provide indirect educational experiences to pre-occupational therapy students from the University of Oregon and direct training for Occupational Therapy Interns or Occupational Therapy Assistant students who are completing requirements for Licensure or Certification.
Key duties and responsibilities: (On an as-needed basis)
- Provide Occupational Therapy treatment services for infants, children and youth with Developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Intellectual Disability; Neuromuscular, and orthopedic disorders
- Perform Occupational Therapy evaluations that contribute to interdisciplinary team diagnosis, and determine treatment goals
- Coordinate care with CDRC interdisciplinary teams and community providers including primary care providers, early intervention, school and other treating therapists.
- Routinely document all patient contacts including evaluations, treatment plans, treatment notes, discharge planning and/or summary notes in compliance with OHSU, JCAHO, and 3rd party payer standards
- Participate in education and training of Occupational Therapy interns, therapy assistant students and pre-OT students.

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is expected to support and complement physician care of Infectious Diseases patients in a variety of settings, including the outpatient and inpatient realms. The position includes outpatient clinic at OHSU sites and inpatient clinical service at OHSU hospital. The outpatient and inpatient responsibilities are under the direct or indirect supervision as warranted with the opportunity for further independent practice based on performance.
- Clinical. The primary duties include direct inpatient and outpatient consultative patient care, and Video-based consultation coverage for OHSU’s Hospital at Home program. Inpatient and outpatient clinical activities will be scheduled so as not to overlap on the same day
- Education. This position participates in the division’s teaching activities, including divisional conferences, student and fellow didactics and on OHSU committees as expected and approved by the Division and Department.
