The Intensive Care Unit technician (ICU Tech) position is part of the healthcare team in the Adult Critical Care Cluster. The ICU tech performs tasks of direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and as directed by the department nurse manager. - The position consists of alternating inpatient EMU weeks with outpatient weeks. Outpatient weeks include five to six four-hour sessions per week.
- Work on research experiments relating to the Cell Fusion project or Stem Cell investigations as assigned by Dr. Melissa Wong. These studies will include a variety of technical approaches including: cell culture, live-cell imaging, FACS and characterization of cell phenotypes, as well as murine intestinal stem cell analyses in tissue or cell culture.

This position is for a Senior Research Assistant in the Knight Cardiovascular Institute, supporting research focused on coronary physiology (microcirculation) and vascular biology. Applicant must have previous research laboratory experience with handing rodents. They will be required to manage rodent colonies, genotype rodents using PCR, perform immunohistochemistry and assist in surgery.
