Financial Analysis & Reporting - Independent performance of financial analysis and evaluation. - Produces complex reports of descriptive and analytic data in support of the OPP. - Must be able to communicate and explain analytics effectively findings to individuals with varying backgrounds, including leadership. - Ability to think strategically, and synthesize complex data from multiple sources, identify alternatives, and develop innovative solutions within an entrepreneurial environment. - Independently manage financials for the OPP departments, medical contracting P&L and inpatient collections revenue. - Work collaboratively with department administrators and revenue cycle to create and audit data streams to establish reliable control functions and data integrity for wRVU, collections revenue, ambulatory and medical contracting reporting. - Responsible for the accuracy of data extracts between applications and overall data integrity. - Ability to consolidate and present on complex and varying financials to concise and meaningful presentations for OPP leadership. - Present medical contracting budget to actual variance analysis to OPP leaders monthly. Cost Analysis: - Utilizing the OHSU Strategic Services business case, develop proforma for new OHSU providers leased to OHSU affiliate locations. - Work collaboratively with the finance team at each affiliate locations and ensure timely process according to local requirements (i.e. PCAT). - Utilize Fair Market Value template to ensure compliant compensation. - Develop process to routinely review proforma outcomes. - Supervise monthly affiliate location invoicing, $80M annually. - Collaborate with OPP Finance Director and the Office of Community Engagement and Support to calculate financials for ongoing and new affiliate partnerships. - Meet with the Office of Community Engagement and Support (OCES) and Outreach regularly to review financial scope of new contracts and calculate net profit of new and existing contracts. Analyzes requirements and designs solutions to meet customer needs. Consults with users to identify and document reporting issues, output needs and to determine overall functional requirements. The position will remain open until filled. The center focuses on drug discovery and development from preclinical phases to clinical and translational research. The current work in the CET focuses on cancer biology, chemical biology, pharmacology, toxicology and pre-clinical drug discovery/development (high throughput screening (HTS), organic/medicinal chemistry, refining functional assays), for expanded clinical use. Expertise in the cancer biology and pre-clinical drug development, as well as an in depth understanding of the regulatory processes surrounding the use of such a device, is of high value. It is of critical importance to the number of research projects as well as for correlate research studies performed in lab. This position will be responsible for directing a pre-clinical research team that develops and run the drug candidates, providing potentially lifesaving treatment options to patients with late stage cancers and generating primary patient derived data for research purposes. This position will also play a role in developing and executing sponsored research projects. This will include drafting SOW, providing laboratory oversight of active projects, delivering project updates, and providing guidance on future potential commercialization of research finding. Given the requirement for extensive laboratory experience, this individual will also be responsible for overseeing and providing scientific direction of key research personnel, graduate students and post-docs and their research projects. This position is also responsible for independently writing grants and providing grant support to all levels of researchers within the department and will also provide oversight and direction for manuscript writing and submission and creating statements of work for collaborative projects. The position is for a Clinical Research Associate in an exercise oncology laboratory to serve as the Project Director for a multi-site, 5-year NIH clinical trial of combined diet + exercise in prostate cancer survivors. The Project Director will work directly with the PIs, Lab Manager, and Intervention Supervisor to execute all aspects of the clinical trial, with particular oversight for recruitment and data collection. This person is responsible for day-to-day project management duties and will be responsible for overseeing elements of the project that may include: participant recruitment and retention, development of study recruitment materials and procedures, regulatory compliance, data quality and management, budget management, progress reporting and dissemination. Day-to-day research responsibilities include overseeing research assistants/student trainees on scheduling of participants for appointments, overseeing collection, entry and quality of data, communicating with study participants as needed, purchasing research supplies, and working in partnership with the members of the study team to maintain scientific quality across all studies. They will also be writing data summaries, project reports, and possibly presenting research findings at scientific meetings. Dr. Agarwal and her team for over past 15 years focusing on identifying novel signaling pathways that are requisite for leukemia initiation, clonal evolution, and drug resistance.  This position will be a hybrid between wet lab and computational disciplines, with a dedicated mentorship in both areas. The new team member will help lead the project focused on understanding the mechanisms of leukemia initiation and drug resistance in a context dependent manner.  The project will use variety of advanced molecular biology techniques, CRISPR methods along with single cell transcriptomic, epigenetic, and genomic profiling in premalignant and malignant models using murine and human cells in vitro and in vivo. The candidate should also be able to perform complex data analysis, along with downstream analyses using computational approaches. Applicants will need to possess strong technical and organizational skills as well as the ability to manage an independent project.   A PhD and 1-2 years of post-graduate research experience in the relevant field. They are likely to have deep expertise in a singular area of focus but may also have worked as boundary spanners across multiple fields. Laboratory and/or computational experience in the field of molecular/cellular biology, cancer biology or a related field is preferred. Experience with sequencing library preparation, epigenetics, flow cytometry, or murine models of disease would be especially beneficial. Salary will be commensurate with experience. This position is for a computational biology and/or bioinformatics postdoc who will have the opportunity to design and lead research projects for prioritizing therapies, selecting combination therapies, and evaluating resistance pathways in breast, ovarian, and endometrial cancers.  Areas of active development in Mills Lab include: selecting combinations of DNA damage repair drugs, targeting homologous repair deficiencies and/or replication stress, and identifying patterns of tumor adaptive resistance in transcriptomics and proteomics data types. Further, this position will provide opportunities to collaborate in cutting-edge clinical trials and access to patient biopsy data across ‘omics types.   Candidates should have recently completed PhD training or equivalent in Computational Biology and/or Bioinformatics, and demonstrate evidence of having a strong research interest in the area of Cancer Biology. One of more of the following methods areas is strongly preferred: network/pathway analysis, network methods for drug discovery, transcriptomics and/or proteomics-based biomarker discovery, or machine learning for drug discovery.
