1. Performs basic and social determinants of health assessments of Members coming into OHSU Health Services to help in determining future care coordination/care management needs and potential support resources. Collaborates closely with members of the Care Integration and Coordination team in facilitating care coordination referrals and access to services as may be indicated for the Member through outreach to assist in navigating the health care system. Works with the Member in selecting a primary care physician if needed. Routinely documents all Member interactions and Member engagements in the EMR to ensure a longitudinal record is maintained of all Member interactions. Collects clinical and engagement data and enters information into the electronic medical record (EMR) for tracking and metric purposes. Maintains medical record confidentiality at all times through the proper use of computer passwords, maintenance of secure files; adherence to HIPAA guidelines and policies. The Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) position is a behavioral health provider who operates in a consultative role within Family Medicine at Richmond clinic, working to support a smooth interface between primary care and specialty services, and provides point of care behavioral interventions to the primary care patient population.   The BHC role is to detect and address a broad spectrum of behavioral health needs in the primary care patient population with the aim of early identification, quick resolution, long-term prevention and wellness for as many patients as possible. The BHC functions as a core member of the primary care team, providing consultative services for behavioral health issues related to physical health conditions. The BHC performs assessment, management, and triage of psychological and social problems in clinic patient population.   This position involves a high degree of clinical complexity and advanced level skill in delivering evidence-based interventions targeted to improve wellbeing health for a large variety of patients with emotional and behavioral problems commonly seen in a primary care setting. The work includes the BHC meeting with patients for a single visit, providing recommendations to the primary care team to enhance the patient's care plan, and working with patients for a longer period of time to provide on-going skills training and coaching to improve health and functioning. The BHC also seeks to support a smooth coordination of care with community partners and completes short-term case management for patients during their episodes of care.   The BHC will work within established practices and procedures with opportunities to participate in the planning, design and implementation of programs. The BHC performs duties with minimal supervision. Work is reviewed for adherence to procedures, regulations, standards and for overall effectiveness. OHSU Family Medicine at Richmond is designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and cares for over 16,000 community members as part of the community safety net. This position will be assigned to the Anatomic Pathology Division, with principal responsibilities in Hematopathology and Digital Pathology. Clinical responsibilities in hematopathology include a diverse array of adult and pediatric bone marrow and lymph node cases with ancillary flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and may include molecular testing, including sign-out of hematopathology targeted next generation sequencing.   This position will be the Director of Informatics. This role will primarily focus on digital pathology systems such as whole slide scanning including the setup of the pathology reporting process in LIS (Beaker and EPIC) using the imaging management systems.  This position will design and support validation of various digital applications and work with our partners in dermatology, ophthalmology, and lab service. Will assist the cytopathology team in implementation of a digital cytology system for fine needle aspiration adequacies. Will work to identify the bioinformatics needs of the department and design and implement an appropriate system including securing the required resources   This position will also be assigned to an equitable share of evening and weekend call.  Service and other assignments will be reviewed and modified by the department Chair, as needed.   Educational responsibilities include participation in the instructional program for medical and graduate students, residents and fellows of the Department as assigned by the Chair. Service responsibilities include participation in committees and councils of OHSU; outreach and public service programs and professional societies with the knowledge and consent of the Chair.   Research responsibilities are to participate in clinical and basic research programs at OHSU as opportunities provide, and to work toward funding these studies through grants and contracts.   The effort for this position at present is divided: 5% education; 40% clinical service; 5% research; 50% administrative & management.

**New hires are eligible for up to a $1,500 hiring bonus**     The Laboratory Animal Technician 1 –Equipment Sanitation Technicianis the first level of a three-level series. At this level, this position is focused on providing husbandry, healthcare and research support for laboratory animals maintained at the ONPRC. The primary function of this Animal Resources & Research Support (ARRS) position is to provide animals with sanitized primary housing in accordance with local, regional and federal regulations and guidelines, to perform research support tasks, routine health care, and manual and technical husbandry tasks, which are directly related to the care of laboratory animals.  Daily activities include cleaning, sanitizing and sterilizing animal primary housing and equipment following strict protocols. This position will also learn and master the ability to perform the manual and technical tasks directly related to the care of, and research support for the use of, laboratory animals. This includes safely performing basic animal husbandry and animal handling, healthcare procedures, including but not limited to feeding and sanitizing procedures, animal transfer and restraint, administration of medications, and the collection of research samples.    The area of work assignment and specific tasks will vary, depending on animal population and care requirements, service requirements, staffing needs and the individual’s knowledge. ARRS houses approximately 4600 nonhuman primates, and approximately 2000 small laboratory animals, on a daily basis. The animals are housed in 8 buildings and approximately 65 outdoor enclosures, on the ONPRC/OHSU campus. There are over 120 employees who are responsible for providing care of the research animals.    The successful candidate for this position will have basic knowledge for the care of animals, demonstrated by experience with household pets, farm or 4-H animals or previous work-related experience with animals. This position requires the ability read, write, and follow oral and written instructions, as well as having the ability to communicate effectively in oral and/or written formats with both technical and professional staff.    Some duties will require working outside in inclement weather and daily work may involve moving on wet and/or slick surfaces, through narrow corridors between rows of cages, and climbing stairs to corral observation towers. There is risk of exposure to zoonotic agents through injury, by direct contact with animals or their tissues, or by contact with equipment contaminated by animals or theirbody fluids.
