The Practice Manager participates in construction, tracking, and implementation of the annual budget and strategic plan. The Practice Manager supervises Back and Front Office Supervisors, RN’s and Behavorial Health staff along with all front and back-office staff directly or indirectly in a manner consistent with the philosophy and leadership of OHSU, Family Medicine and the Scappoose Health Center. The Practice Manager is on Call 24/7 for potential clinic and safety issues needing prompt attention. The Clinic is open 8-8 M-F and Saturdays 9AM-1PM.  Budget responsibility: 48 FTE, $8 million expenses, annual visits 35,000 for 12,500 patients.   1. Clinical Practice Management: - Develops, maintains, and implements practice policies and procedures. A key leader of transformative changes to the care delivery model as it is adapted to the rapidly changing health care environment.  Provides leadership on development and implementation of standards of practice. - Leads and participates on committees. Ensures practice compliance with regulatory requirements. - Oversees inventory of all supplies and equipment. - Serves as liaison in coordination of support services for practice operations. - Leads and/or assists with implementation of grants and projects. - Demonstrates knowledge of standards developed by organizations monitoring patient care including, but not limited to DNV and CLIA. In conjunction with clinical staff, coordinates patient flow. - Monitors patient outcomes, especially patient experience, as well as quality metrics in general. Leads patient Centered Primary Care Home (PCPCH) and other primary care medical home projects.  - Incorporate new payment models included in PCPCH. - Develop performance targets (non-visit based) that reflect the values of PCMH and are reinforced by incentives derived from new payment models. 5. This position will require expertise in clinical practice and administration within the full range of gynecologic oncology outpatient services. - The primary duties include direct patient care in the ambulatory setting, providing care for gynecologic oncology patients. - The spectrum of care includes pre-op and post-operative care, symptom management associated with oncology treatments, oncology surveillance/survivorship care, pain management, and end of life care.  The APP is responsible for communication with oncology infusion staff and pharmacists for laboratory interpretation and modification of chemotherapy treatment plans.  - This APP is expected to collaborate with multiple OHSU departments in the care of patients, including radiation oncology, surgical oncology, urology, pharmacy, palliative care. Gynecologic clinic procedures done by the APP may include endometrial biopsy, IUD placement and removal, excisional skin biopsy. If needed, training can be provided. Clinical activities will take place primarily at OHSU. Scholarly Activities  - Like all OHSU faculty members, advanced practice providers are expected to have some scholarly activity, this may be limited to educating learners as outlined below, but may also include research, and other grant supported work or academic papers and presentations in disciplines related to their field of expertise. In alignment with the strategic vision of the hospital, the preferred areas of clinical care, research and education will be focused on: - Diagnosis and management of heavy and/or irregular menstrual bleeding due to anovulation or bleeding disorders; management of dysmenorrhea and chronic pelvic pain, including endometriosis, pelvic floor dysfunction, and complex pain. - Menstrual education and management, including menstrual suppression, for adolescent girls and young adults with developmental needs. - Management of adolescents with PCOS/hyperandrogenism and other endocrinopathies. - Care of patients with premature ovarian insufficiency including pubertal induction for patients with ovarian dysgenesis, Turner Syndrome and patients who have iatrogenic ovarian insufficiency due to cancer treatment. - Diagnosis and management of pubertal disorders including precocious and delayed puberty, vulvar disorders, including lichen sclerosus, chronic vaginitis, vulvodynia. - Management of benign adnexal cysts/masses including hemorrhagic cyst follow-up, paratubal cysts, teratomas, including surgical management as clinically indicated. - Medical and surgical management of Mullerian anomalies including hymenal, vaginal, and uterine anomalies. - Participate in team-approached management of gender-affirming care for adolescents. - Confidential and comprehensive management of Contraception/STI screening/dyspareunia integrated with other care offered. - Diagnosis and management of pediatric and adolescent vulvovaginal dermatologic and infectious disorders. - Education of medical students and residents, both clinically as well as through didactics and hands-on simulation. The successful candidate will have a clinical Gynecology practice focused on pediatric adolescent gynecology. Clinical responsibilities will include Gynecology outpatient clinics, surgical Gynecology and full participation in the Gynecology call pool.
