The Oregon IMPACTS Technical Assistance and Local Evaluation Project, in partnership with CJC.   “IMPACTS" stands for Improving People's Access to Community-based Treatment, Supports, and Services. This program is overseen by the CJC. Grants are awarded to 15 counties and federally recognized Indian tribes, to address shortage of comprehensive community supports and services for individuals with mental health or substance use disorders, leading to their involvement with the criminal justice system, hospitalizations and institutional placements.   Duties include overseeing qualitative interview processes; development of standard operating procedures and carrying out tasks such as interviews, analysis and report writing; data systems management (e.g., use of REDCap), data analysis, and writing up results; collaborating with external research partners to conduct virtual and in-person learning opportunities and regional retreats for grantees; and some administrative tasks including participation in regular project meetings.   The Senior Research Associate plays a critical role in developing and maintaining relationships with collaborating partners. Occasional in-state, overnight travel to IMPACTS and BHD implementation sites is required for this position. The Senior Research Associate has expert knowledge of research and evaluation practices in this field of study, the ability to teach others on methodology/standard operating procedures, and serves as a mentor to junior staff.
