This position will report to the Vice Chair of Pain Medicine and provide care within OHSU’s Comprehensive Pain Center. The appointee will care for patients with chronic and acute pain through in-person outpatient visits, telehealth and pain specific procedures.   The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the University’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service. This appointee has special skills, experience or demonstrated competence in performing assigned duties.

As a Radiation Therapist you will administer radiation therapy accurately as prescribed and planned by a physician, and reinforce the Radiation Oncologist's advice to patients regarding reactions to treatment and their care. This position will require you to observe the clinical progress of the radiation oncology patient, use clinical decision-making skills to recognize and report any signs of complications, unusual reactions, and events to the nursing staff and/or Radiation Oncologist. Subject enrollment & specimen collection: identifying and consenting participating patients; keeping detailed and accurate documentation of activities; extracting clinical data from patient records and documenting annotations in database(s). Review operating room schedules for surgical cases meeting of interest; work closely with surgical staff and pathologist assistants to obtain surgical tissue.
