The duties of this position are consistent with AAPM PP 1-J and MPPG 10.a and include:
- Responsible for the systematic measurement, documentation, and assurance of the physical and dosimetric aspects of all radioactive sources and/or radiation producing equipment used in Radiation Medicine.
- Performs acceptance testing and commissioning of all treatment-related equipment. This includes calibration of all radiation producing sources and maintenance of all information for their appropriate use.

The APP will be expected to assist the Pediatric Urologists in the operating room to support maximal operating room utilization at both Doernbecher and Randall Children’s hospital.
The APP works to assure a smooth transition of patient care and education between the inpatient and outpatient arenas to decrease length of stay, improve patient outcomes and increase patient satisfaction.

The Aortic Center Director provides strategic, clinical, operational, and academic leadership for a comprehensive, multidisciplinary Aortic Center dedicated to the full spectrum of aortic disease, including aneurysms, dissections, and genetic syndromes.
