The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a registered nurse (RN) who is responsible for upholding excellence in the provision of nursing care through the implementation of the Profession Practice Model. The ANM, in association with the Nurse Manager, is responsible for the managerial and leadership functions within a patient environment. The ANM functions primarily on evening and nightshift hours to provide operational oversight, consistency and continuity. - Planning and designing research experiments; establishing priorities and schedules; obtaining cost estimates. - Data collection, processing and analysis, including statistical analyses, presentation of project results, and producing written documents (abstracts, manuscripts) on the result of analyses. Patient Registration - Perform established patient search methods for medical record number in computer database. - Properly identify and arrive patients that arrive in the ED whether it is a walk in or by ambulance. - Gathers, adds, updates, and/or verifies detailed demographic information and completed/signed forms required for services. These functions are performed at stationary computer terminals or at patient’s bedside using a mobile computer terminal, occasionally over the phone. Under direct supervision, primarily performs basic research or lab activities similar to a Research Assistant 1 or Lab Aide.
