Reporting to the Sr. Associate Dean for Finance & Administration in the School of Medicine (SoM) and to the Sr. Associate Dean for Research, the position is responsible for administrative and financial management for the research mission in the School of Medicine. They will provide senior-level counsel and operational support to the Sr. Associate Deans and SoM Department Administrators with the purpose of ensuring that the research administrative, operational and financial services are provided in the most efficient and effective manner and with the highest integrity.
Grant Planning and Development:
- With minimal supervision, interprets sponsor guidelines and requirements. Grant submissions include NIH, DOD, foundation and industry-sponsored grants which may have multiple PIs, multiple institutions, and / or subcontracts. Independently liaisons with faculty, postdocs, grad students and other staff and faculty in other OHSU departments and other institutions to ensure that all appropriate pre-award administration, formatting, guidelines and rules have been implemented for timely and accurate submission of the department’s grants, projects and renewals.
