The Division of Pediatric Nephrology in the Department of Pediatrics at OHSU is seeking a full-time Pediatric Nephrologist.  Doernbecher Children’s Hospital at OHSU is the teaching hospital for pediatrics in the state of Oregon with a full complement of sub-specialists and fellow programs.  The successful candidate will join a team of 4 Pediatric Nephrologists and 1 Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to provide care and teaching to the Doernbecher clinical and educational programs.   

Performs data entry and sample processing for samples received for testing - Checks accuracy of specimens, requisitions, labels - Performs computer entry in EPIC, and Beaker systems - Accurately labels samples, requisitions, and appropriate specimen containers - Ensures that all samples are logged in to the lab and triaged in a timely manner -

The Clinical Veterinary Technician 1 assists in providing clinical care, nursing support and husbandry for a variety of laboratory research animals. This is the first level of a three-level series.  It is distinguished from the higher levels with increased level of oversight on clinical cases and focus on assisting surgical procedures. This role will be supervised or guided by senior staff and DVMs. At this level there is an emphasis on animal health, training, and greater supervision. It is distinguished from other Veterinary Technician series by the emphasis on clinical care and nursing support. Work inside an ABSL3 facility is a requirement of this position.
